Rusk County is a county in North West Central Wisconsin.

It is named after Jeremiah Rusk, former Governor of Wisconsin. It was originally named Gates County.

The seat and largest city is Ladysmith.

It borders Sawyer, Price, Taylor, Chippewa, Baron and Washburn.

Main highways include US-8, WI-27, WI-40 and WI-73.
